Charleston Bakery & Delicatessen: Summerville’s Best for Pastries, Southern Classics & Gourmet Sandwiches

It was my first time in this place. I loved everything, I highly recommend it. Food is delicious and you go crazy that you don't know what to choose, it's a wide variety. It is definitely my favorite place of family breakfast.

Delicious food and desserts, and very friendly staff. This will now be my favorite place to enjoy a cup of coffee and a sweet treat.

Really great food and atmosphere. Surprisingly giant pancake the size of a pizza overall great experience highly recommend.

I rarely go out to eat anymore because of the rising cost of take out/ dining out. If I’m gonna spend $16 on a salad, it has to be right. The sunset Cobb has always been my favorite and has always been made with Panko chicken. Apparently they changed this and now it’s just a regular old cold, diced chicken. I get it. It’s a salad and most people who are eating a salad are being health-conscious and maybe don’t want the breaded chicken. The Panko chicken, in my opinion, is the best thing about the salad, especially when it’s freshly made and hot. They were super kind and re-made it for me, but just a heads up the recipe changed! In the end, the salad was worth the price. It’s not always consistently made, though, I will say that. Sometimes you get a lot of the ingredients which makes it worth the price and other days they skimp, but for the most part, it’s my favorite salad in town!! People are super kind here.

I love your food and the lovely folks inside who run this shop. I wanted to share I was super sad to see you changed the Burritostein and while this may be for one reason or another, just wanted to share I found it much better before- even the salasa! Nevertheless, I love this place and highly recommend!!

Absolutely the best pastrami reuben that I've had in Charleston. The balance of the amount of meat to dressing and kraut was perfect on their grilled rye. I look forward to trying their other offerings but it's going to be hard not to get this one again next time. Well done.

Charleston Bakery & Delicatessen is truly a hidden gem! The food was absolutely phenomenal! Fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. On top of that, their dessert selection is incredible: cheesecakes, cookies, croissants, and so many other delicious treats that it’s hard to choose just one. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, making the whole experience even better. I can’t believe I didn’t discover this place sooner, but I’m so glad I finally did. I will 100% be a returning customer and highly recommend stopping by if you haven’t already!

Love this place! The new owners are amazing and everyone is always so nice! The food is great too! Been here for breakfast and lunch and always awesome!
